Villa which last won a league title in 2004 is the most on form team in the league, having won eight of their last 10 games

SC Villa Captain Bernard Muwanga hailed fellow teammates and technical team for their tremendous performance.

Muwanga who was on the score sheet as Villa beat Masavu 3-0 yesterday to open a five point lead on the table believes that their hard work has paid off.

"It feels good to keep winning and performing well. The well credit goes to the technical team, management and us the players. I dedicate the goal to my beloved mother," stated Muwanga.

Villa which last won a league title in 2004 is so far the most on form team in the top flight league. They have won eight of their last 10 games. The other two games have ended in stalemate.

They top the league with 28 points, five above joint second KCCA and Police.

SC Villa's next match will be against Proline at Masaka Recreational Stadium on December 19.  

The league takes a two-week break to allow some of the players regroup with the national team ahead of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that starts this Sunday in Kenya.

Allan Kyambadde, Bernard Muwanga and Ibrahim Kiyemba are the three SC Villa players that were summoned on the national team.
