Distribution in Wakiso will be in December and January next year in Kampala.

The ministry of health has commenced with the process of distributing mosquito nets to households in Kampala and Wakiso districts.

He was presenting a statement by the minister of health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng on the status of the exercise and general malaria fight.

"As one of the strategies for prevention of malaria, Uganda is currently undertaking the second universal coverage campaign for distribution of mosquito nets. This is intended to reduce the mortality and morbidity of malaria, which is still the single largest killer disease in Uganda," he said.

He said the campaign has so far achieved over 95% coverage, with a total of 23,743,822 bed nets distributed.
