Students arrested over violent strike

According to the school watchman, the students were protestesting the move by the administration to suspend the headboy over indiscipline
Seven students of Okufura Secondary School in Vurra, Arua district, have been arrested over a violent strike and destruction of property.
The strike occurred on Monday night.
The students reportedly met at 10:00pm and agreed to stage a strike in which property was destroyed.
The seven arrested students are detained at Arua Central Police Station for further interrogation.
According to the school security guard, the students were protestesting the move by the administration to suspend the headboy over indiscipline.
