UPDF sends team to Kiruddu and Kawempe hospitals

The UPDF health unit with over 100 staff will provide health support to the people in those hospitals, according to Karemire.

UPDF doctors have been deployed in hospitals in effort to save lives following the industrial action by medical workers, according to UPDF spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire.

 
The has sent some of its highly qualified doctors who have been instrumental in saving lives of soldiers and civilians in the many operational areas. This deployment is being coordinated by Col. Dr. Stephen Kusasira, the UPDF Director of Medical Services. Kusasira holds an MBCHB and Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Makerere University.

 The team was sent to Kiruddu and Kawempe hospitals to provide emergency and specialized services. Some of the medical officers deployed include Dr. Ronald Oboth, Dr. Gideon Nuwagira and Dr. Patrick Otim.
