Detained Police officers back in military court

Uganda Police officers who include former PSU boss Joel Aguma and Nixon Agasirwe, a former Flying Squad boss and others through their lawyer Caleb Araka have this afternoon agreed to take plea before the General Court Martial.

The officers are battling several charges including the kidnap of a Rwandan national in 2015.

Araka informed the army court at Makindye that he has instructions from his clients to accept taking the plea and later apply for court bail.

The case is being presided over by the court chairman Maj. Gen. Andrew Gutti and six other UPDF officers.
