Kadaga to grace Bukuyo run

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga will be the chief runner in a run organized by Bukoyo Secondary School in Iganga scheduled for November 25th.

Proceeds from the ten kilometer run will help in the purchase of text books for the main school library.

The school's head teacher Ali Kayuyu said the run has been organized by former students of the school towards enhancing the performance of the school.

Over 200 people have confirmed participation in the run expected to kick off at the school playground.

Kayuyu urged members of the public to register early to be able to take part in the marathon run for their physical fitness and health of their bodies.

Platinum tickets for the marathon cost sh100,000 while gold tickets cost sh50,000, and silver goes for sh20,000.

The chairman organizing committee, Muzafari Zirabamuzale said this is the first time the school was organising the run since it was started in 1967.

The day will also involve a charity volleyball game between old students and the current students of the school.
