Security officers running battles with rioters in Kenya

The Uganda Manufacturers' Association (UMA) has expressed fear that the political un-certainty in Kenya may affect business in Uganda.

Tension is high as Kenya goes to a presidential poll re-run after opposition leader Raila Odinga withdrew his candidature citing irregularities and some parts of Kenya have been characterized with violence even before the polls.

The acting executive director of UMA Mubarak Kirunda has advised ugandan traders to use the Dar-es-salaam port for safety of their goods.
