Wallpaper up your bathroom

One of the best tools at your decorating disposal is wallpaper.

Nobody wants to spend time in a bathroom that is completely sterile and functional. Both are good things for a bathroom, but if that is all they are then we miss out on all of the possibilities of what they can be a rustic escape from your modern decor or your own personal spa retreat.

One of the best tools at your decorating disposal is wallpaper.

You can cover the whole room or just one wall that will be the focal point of the whole space.

But in a bathroom, you might want to go small with wallpaper than in other spaces. Bathroom wallpaper can cause problems, since the moisture and humidity might make it to peel off.

Even with the greatly improved wallpaper adhesives available today, the conditions that exist in every bathroom can have an effect on the adhesive over time.

At the same time, a bathroom is the perfect room to experiment with bold colours, splashy finishes, and large prints. If you have a separate toilet out of the main area of the bathroom and it does not have a shower or bathtub which will steam up the space, use wallpaper on this area.

For a special custom touch in any bathroom, consider a wallpaper border below the ceiling or around a mirror, window or door.

Remember to check with the guidelines of the paper and adhesive you are considering and to read the installation instructions.
