Museveni warns balalo pastoralists in Acholi

Museveni said he will task the Chief of Defence Forces to investigate the pastoralists.

President Yoweri Museveni has threatened to have infamous pastoralists commonly known as Balalo, arrested.

The President was speaking during his contrywide sensitisation on the land amendment bill in Gulu district.

He also threatened to arrest the landowners in Acholi who allow them to rent land for grazing herds of cattle that continue to destroy people's gardens.

This follows a complaint registered by Lillian Adong, the Nwoya Woman MP, over the matter.

The President said land that is used for grazing cattle should be fenced off.

Museveni said he will task the Chief of Defence Forces to investigate the pastoralists.
