Bisaso steps down as Soana coach hours before Vipers clash
Oct 18, 2017
Soana are currently second from bottom with four points from five games
Just hours to kick-off, Shafiq Bisaso has resigned as the head coach for Soana Football Club
The decision comes as Soana travels to Kitende to play Vipers in the Uganda Premier League later today.
When New Vision Sport contacted Bisaso for comment he asked to be called a few minutes later but instead switched his known phone off.
His assistant Katono Mutono will be in charge of the team on interim basis.
Bisaso has been in charge of Soana since August when he replaced Alex Isabirye. His decision to quit the club comes on the back of a two game winless streak.
Soana who currently second from bottom with four points from five games have one victory and have drawn one and lost three.
Before Bisaso took over from Isabirye, George Lutalo was previously in charge. Lutalo had replaced Sam Ssimbwa who left the club to join Kenya side Sofapaka.
Ssimbwa replaced Charles Ayieko who resigned after a string of disagreements with club owner Smart Obedi.
