Vipers to debut monthly player awards

Oct 17, 2017

The inaugural award will go to one of goalkeeper Ismail Watenga, midfielder Taddeo Lwanga and striker Milton Karisa

Vipers will start handing out monthly awards players basing on their performances according Robert Ssentongo the club's sponsorship and promotions manager.

"The club has been doing well in the league since the sponsors came on board and management felt duty-bound to award the players to acknowledge and appreciate their efforts," stated Ssentongo.

"I believe the awards will not only go a long way in making Vipers strong but it will also bring competition and improvement within the players" he said.

The best player in particular month will always be rewarded at the start of the first home game of every month. And this will also determine the overall award at the club' awards ceremony at the end of the season.

The inaugural award will go to one of goalkeeper Ismail Watenga, midfielder Taddeo Lwanga and striker Milton Karisa for the month of September.

In September, Vipers managed to win three league games and drew one. The winner will be presented the award on Wednesday when Vipers host Bright Stars at St Mary's Stadium in Kitende.
