Former Presidential Candidate Dr Kiiza Besigye wants the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of Kenya to follow the law to avoid plunging the country into chaos.
Yesterday, the main opposition contender in the repeat polls, Raila Odinga, withdrew from the race, citing irregularities in the electoral process, which left incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta in the race alone.
Dr Besigye says the Commission remains with the task of making a decision which will keep peace in Kenya.
Besigye has also asked the opposition in Kenya under the NASA alliance to avoid demonstrations that may trigger tribal clashes.
