Express beat rivals URA 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon to move within touching distance of the Uganda Premier League summit.

Dan Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game to secure Express' second consecutive victory.

The victory took the Red Eagles fourth on the table with seven points, three behind leaders Vipers who were not in action.

URA who are still searching for the first win on four games had only themselves to blame after missing a host of scoring chances especially in the second half.

Elsewhere, Faizal Muwawu scored the only goal as Kirinya Jinja beat Masavu 1-0 away in Entebbe.

At Champion Stadium, Maroons edged Bright Stars 1-0 to register their first win of the season courtesy of Felix Okot's strike.
