Civil society organisations advocating for clean Water and Sanitation under their umbrella organisation UWASNET have condemned the continued urination and defecation in the city Centre.

This comes after Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga urinated in the city centre in front of the ministry of finance.

Mukasa Hajara, the programme manager at AMREF, said the practice spreads diseases like cholera.

She was speaking during the declaration of the nominees for the Water and Sanitation Media Awards, where 5 Vision Group journalists were nominated.
