Sseninde Foundation to equip women with practical skills

The state minister for primary education and Wakiso district Woman Member of Parliament, Rosemary Seninde, has again started training over 3,000 women to equip them with technical skills.

The minister, under Sseninde Foundation is training women in areas such as catering and hotel hospitality, tailoring, bakery and making paper bags, piggery, making charcoal from garbage and hair dressing.

While speaking to some of the trainees at Gombe division offices onFriday, Seninde told the women to stop lamenting about poverty and create their own jobs once they complete the courses.

She also said the training is not discriminative at all and warned those in training against the practice following political affiliations.

"This training is for all Wakiso district residents and it does not discriminate people long political parties because our main aim is to give you skills so that you use them to fight poverty in homes," said Seninde.
