Two youth -- Francis Buyinza and Abdala Wakubile-- were arrested recently after being caught with a pig hidden in a sack.
The pig belonged to John Waiswa, a resident of Nakabugo village, Nakabugo sub-county in Luuka district.
When interrogated, Wakubile said he had wanted to sell the pig to a neighbour, so that he could use the money to pay to go watch a music show organised by the New Eagles band in Luuka town council.
Waiswa said when his pig went missing, he alerted locals, who embarked on a manhunt. The sack with the pig was found inside a pit latrine at the suspects' home, after the search party heard the pig grunting. Residents threatened to lynch Buyinza and Wakubile, but Police managed to rescue them. They were taken to Luuka central police station.
