The acting DPC of Kaberamaido, Charles Oumo said that they opened a murder case under reference case number 611/2017 at Kaberamaido central police station (CPS).

The deceased was identified as Denis Ochaloi, a resident of Ararak ‘A' cell in Kaberamaido Town council.

Oumo added that it is alleged that Ochaloi stabbed one of his brothers with a knife a week ago and his father, Julius Mukalu reported the case of assault against his son to police.

Unfortunately, upon returning home, he found him dead.

It also alleged that the clan members beat him; left him unconscious and later died before being taken to hospital.

Oumo noted that no suspect had been arrested as they all disappeared after the crime.

"Nobody is willing to reveal to us the clan members who participated in this murder. However, my detectives are on the ground to investigate and bring the suspects to book," Oumo affirmed.

He said that postmortem had been done and the cause of death was multiple injuries that led to brain damage and over bleeding.
