Emmanuel Gumisiriza, 34, a resident of Kizungu cell in Njeru division, Buikwe district has committed suicide following divorce from his wife.

Gumisiriza’s body was discovered in his rented house by neighbours.

Landlady Aminah Mutesi said they last saw Gumisiriza on Thursday last week and that it was after they investigated a foul smell coming from his room that they discovered his remains.

She said on breaking the door, they discovered the deceased’s body hanging, a shirt used as the noose.

Residents said Gumisiriza worked at a pork joint at Nile in Njeru division and that his wife, who they only identified as Jackeline, was also employed at the same joint, serving drinks to customers.
