Oyo's 22nd coronation anniversary at Karuzika Hill

King Oyo's 22nd coronation anniversary is on at Karuzika Hill  in Fort Portal, Kabarole district.

The event is being attended by hundreds of people from Toro Kingdom.

Other cultural institutions from Bwamba, Bunyoro, Koki, Buganda and Ankole are also represented.

A number of international guests are also in attendance.

This year's empango was orgnised and co-ordinated by the youth.

In his speech, Eddie Kasaija, the kingdom's minister for youth, said his ministry is ready and determined to bring Toro back to its glory.

Kasaija retaliated the call for the central government to return the kingdom's assets.

He said as the youth of Toro, they are tired of waiting for the central government's empty promises.

In 2014, a group of youth from Toro walked from Fort Portal to Kampala in protest of the governments failure to return the kingdom's assets.
