Vipers beat BUL 1-0 to move top of the Azam Uganda Premier league log on Friday evening at St Mary's stadium, Kitende.

Despite being on the summit, the Kitende side have not impressed so far in the two  games they have played ever since the league kickoff on Tuesday.

Milton Karisa headed home in the 42nd minute through Yayo Lutimba's corner kick as Vipers moved to four points.

During the same game, there was miss communication between the centre referee Joseph Ochom and his assistant Moses Kamba in the dying minutes of the game.   Kamba had insisted that Vipers was supposed to be given a penalty after BUL's defender, Umaru Mukobe handed the ball in the box off Milton Karisa's shot.

But Ochom had pointed in a corner kick. But after consultations between both officials they agreed to be a corner kick.

Elsewhere, Soana settled to 1all draw with Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreation ground.

Farouk Osaman scored for Soana while Nelson Senkatuka was on target for Bright Stars.

League will resume tomorrow with six matches. KCCA travel to Bombo to face UPDF while Police will host SC Villa at Namboole.
