The edgy win in the ICC Africa Women's World Cup Qualifiers, has enabled Kevin Awino and Co to set up what is expected to be a mouthwatering final against Zimbabwe Saturday as Uganda is a win shy from making history and progress to the global and final qualifying round for the first time.

Abel Queentor and Sarah Wetoto led the way for Kenya, moving the scoreboard up to 89 for 5 in their innings. The former who plays for Pioneer Club in Uganda's local league, struck a game best of 36 from 56 ball as 28 year old Wetoto scored 25 from 21 ball in the first innings where Uganda's Gertrude Chandiru took 2 wickets to take her tally to a total of 12.

Requiring 90, Rita Musamali and Immaculate Nakisuyi's heroics guided Uganda to a much needed result, recovering from a 59 runs loss at the hands of Zimbabwe Wednesday. Jinja SS' Musamali scored 28 off 43 balls not out with Nakisuyi faring with 25 off 15 balls not out.

In the other game, the hosts came up big against Tanzania to claim the fourth position in the event that ends Saturday.

The winner between Zimbabwe and Uganda goes to the global qualifiers ahead of the World Cup in West Indies next year.
