KCCA unveil new signings

KCCA, who won a double last season (Uganda Cup and Azam Uganda Premier League), recently lost part of their players who left the club for greener pastures.

Ahead of the new season, KCCA has unveiled 11 new signings. The new recruits were confirmed by the KCCA head coach, Mike Mutebi, on September 9, 2017  at that StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.

"We have gone for players who can follow our style of play. We have played 25 friendly matches, so they fit in our system. The current squad we have now is better than for the one we had last season," stated Mutebi.

The new signings include Jamil Maliyamungu (GoalKeeper), Filbert Obenchan, James Begisa, Allan Oryek , Mohammad Abdullah, Faisal Kiberu, Ibrahim Wamannah, Abubakar Saddiq Tijjani, Faisam Ndjibu Malango, Patrick Kaddu and Tito Okello.

These include; Denis Rukundo, Sulaimon Akinyemi, Robert Ssentongo, Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Vincent Kayizzi, Tom Masiko,  Ivan Ntege.  Douglas Kisembo and  Brian Majwega  joined  Police and URA respectively  on loan.

Apart from defending the double, KCCA will also compete in the CAF Champions League in the coming new season. But they face FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels in the FUFA Super Cup on Saturday at Wankulukuku stadium.

Jamil Maliyamungu (Goalkeeper):  2-year contract

Obenchan Filbert (Defender): 4-year contract

Begisa James (Wing Back): 4-year contract

Oryek Allan (Wing Back):  2-year contract

Mohammad Abdullah (Midfielder): 2- year contract

Faisal Kiberu (Midfielder):  4- year contract

Wamannah Ibrahim (Midfielder):  4- year contract

Abubakar Saddiq Tijjani (Striker from Nigeria): 3-year contract

Malango Faisam Ndjibu (Striker from Cameroon): 3-year contract

Kaddu Patrick (Striker): 2-year contract

Tito Okello (Striker): 2-year contract
