Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party president, Gen. Mugisha Muntu, has denied allegations that he is a  spy for the ruling National Resistance Movement party.


Muntu made the remarks on September 7, 2017, while addressing FDC delegates from Busoga region at Sana Hotel in Iganga district.

He said some of his opponents in the race for the party presidency have been trying to tarnish his image by claiming he is a government spy, who aims to weaken the Opposition.

"These colleagues of mine should concentrate on wooing supporters, instead of talking ill of me. How can you win a war when you are trying to fight a person who is your ally?" he asked.

Muntu said he joined the Opposition to ensure that they topple NRM government through peaceful.

He promised to support any of the four other candidates if he loses the race for party president.
