Proline continued preparations for the new Uganda Premier League season by winning the second edition of the Phillip Omondi Invitational Tournament.

Mujib Kasule's side beat hosts KCCA 2-1 at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo over the weekend to retain the trophy they won last season.

The Phillip Omondi Invitational Tournament is pre-season event organised by KCCA. This year's tourney saw hosts KCCA, Proline, Bright Stars and Maroons facing off in the two day event.

David Owor and Daniel Isiagi each scored for Proline before Abubaker Sadiq scored a consolation for KCCA.

Each team played two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored.

Proline collected seven points to win the tourney while Bright Stars came second in the tournament. KCCA and Maroons each had two points.
