Phillip Ssebaale and Eva Magala were winner and runner up of the inaugural Chip and Putt floodlight competition that will spice up the Johnnie Walker Uganda Golf Club monthly mug competitions.
The two beat over 15 enthusiastic golfers who registered for the competition held on the 18th green after the August competition. For Magala it was a perfect spice to her day's performance having won the ladies Group A earlier.
But Paul Ekudu and Candy Mpanga were the overall winners of the mug contest after carding 69 and 68 nett respectively to top the competition that attracted close to 100 golfers.
Apart from Bridget Nakamoga, who once again returned to the podium in the ladies Group A, there were new winners spread over in both the men and ladies categories.
In the men Group A, Ashavin Kananathan and John Basabose were the best performers on the day with 74 and 75nett respectively with Shaban Ram and Sam Onek also propelling themselves to the top in Group B.
Garvin Onaba and George Egadu in Group C as well Herbert Nsanze and Akura Mugyenyi in Group D, also picked mugs just Jeri Kinyoho and Annette Kiconco in the ladies Group B.
