UMOSPOC Kabalega rally clerk of the course, Charles Ssemengo has said that his team is ready for the rally that takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"We are ready for the event. We are only waiting for Scrutineering and see those crews that will be given to us," Ssemengo stated.

The event that is the sixth on the national rally championship is likely to determine who the 2017 national rally champion is.

Fitidis leads the NRC with 315 points and a win for him in Hoima will be a big boost to his NRC quest.

Ssebuguzi (250 points) is second and trailing Fitidis with 65 points, Kuku (230pts), Duncan (230pts) are in third position and Mayanja (160pts) is fifth and all are targeting a win in Hoima.

Notable on the forty drivers list include Yusuf ‘Dusty 'Bukenya, Kephar Walubi, Yassin Nasser, Rauf Adam, 2015 Nile Special USPA rally driver of the year Arthur Blick jr. former champion Dr. Ashraf Ahmed, and Hima Cement ambassador Ambrose Byona.
