Four pick nomination forms for Namisindwa district seats

Four candidates have picked nomination forms to contest as NRM flagbearers for the LC5 and Woman Member of Parliament seats in the newly created Namisindwa district.

They are; George William Wopuwa, Jackson Wakweika who are all seeking to carry the NRM flag for LC5 chairperson candidate and Sarah Natalisire and Namukhula Grace Watuwa who are vying for woman representative.

Namisindwa, which became operational in 1st July this year, was carved out of Manafwa district.

According to the roadmap released by NRM electoral committee on Friday, nominations will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

All aspirants will be required to pay a non-refundable of sh2m for nomination, to the party's electoral commission.

According to Tanga Odoi the NRM electoral commission chairperson, elections for the party flag bearers will be held on 15th of August 2017 at the respective newly created districts.

According to the program released Wednesday by the Electoral Commission (EC), Namisindwa, which was among the six new districts that became operational in July this year, is set to hold parliamentary and council elections by 29th of this month.
