Man arrested over death of patient

Police in Alebtong are holding a one Francis Okello on allegations of murder. 

It is reported that Okello who was operating at a drug shop in Aloi trading centre carrying out an illegal and un professional operation on a patient who later died after which he went into hiding. 

He was yesterday at around 6pm from Ojwina division where he was hiding and returned to Alebtong as investigations into the matter continue. The case was recorded under CRB 204/2017. 

North Kyoga Police spokesperson, David Ongom Mudong, said his file has already been reported to the resident state attorney for legal advice. 

In a phone interview, ASP Godfrey Bagonza, the officer in charge of Awei Police outpost said Okello will be submitted to court.  

He said that Police urges the public to always be vigilant and to quickly report quack doctors.
