Ronz Pool Club ahead of the pack

The little known Jinja Pool Club have only played in the senior pool league for just a few months and they are already in the process of pulling a Leicester city style onslaught on the league title.

Fellow title contenders, Capital Night got the sour taste of the jinja side's competitive nature on Sunday night when they were defeated by 11-09 in Jinja.

Just like Leicester city, the team based in Jinja don't have a budget as big as some teams but have made up for those discrepancies through smart buys.

They acquired the services of talents like Navy Matovu from Scrap Buyers and Dan Mubiru from Skin Samona who have been big additions to the side.

After defeating two members of the senior league's top four, the team has moved from strength to strength and at the moment they look invincible.

Coach Hanz Rugari believes the teams organisational skills are the reason why they languish at the top of the senior league and have a perfect 9 out of 9 winning record.

"When I first joined the club, we had to organise structures, I instructed the boys to play freely. We have systems and game plans for instance, there are times we tell our speed merchant's to speed it up or slow it down," he said.

Ronz will now focus their attention on Hot Pool a team that has struggled a lot this season. In hind sight if there is a team that has the capability to halt the runaway table toppers.
