KAMPALA - A Makerere University's Dr. Agnes Namutebi will be buried on Saturday.
Namutebi, who has been a lecturer at the university's department of food science and technology, died on Wednesday of natural causes.
According to a close family friend, Namutebi has been an amiable and open-minded person, and at the same time very brilliant.
"She has been one of the youngest PhD holders at Makerere and she had acquired a lot of knowledge both locally and abroad as a food scientist.
"Unfortunately, she did not survive with any biological child," he said.
A vigil was held at her home in Makerere Wednesday night and burial is expected to take place in Gomba district on Saturday.
