IAAF WORLD U18 CHAMPIONSHIPS
NAIROBI - Uganda’s Sarah Chelangat came 5th in the 3000m final but set a personal best of 9:40:18 minutes in the IAAF World U18 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.
She bettered her personal best by 15:56 seconds.
The other Ugandan in that race, Esther Yeko Chekwemoi, finished 6th, failing to improve her personal best of 9:38:80.
Abersh Minsewo of Ethiopia won the race with 9:24:62 while Kenya’s Emmanculate Chepkirui finished second (9:24:69) and Ethopian Yitayish Mekonene in third (9:28:46).
