His legal team protested the adjournment

Movie translator Mary Smarts Matovu popularly known as VJ Junior, once again had his case adjourned yesterday.

The case was initially adjourned for thirty minutes after the Chief Magistrate Jameson Karemani found that the state prosecutor Emily Nisiima's charge sheet was lacking.

After the break, court was ready to proceed once again however, the prosecutor asked for the hearing to be adjourned claiming she had just been handed the case and needed enough time to prepare.

VJ Junior's legal team headed by Tonny Raymond Kirabira, Nalukola Erias and Ssekajja Ukesha did not agree to the request saying justice was taking time to prevail and that the client's time was being wasted.

Karemani however agreed to adjourn the case to July 26 when the State is ready.

The renowned movie translator and his colleague Geoffrey Bbosa were arrested on May 23 and taken to Police CIID headquarters in Kibuli on the orders of State Minister for Ethics and Integrity, Simon Lokodo on allegations of producing and circulating pornographic materials on CDs, flash discs and other devices across the country.
