The former Lweza coach takes over from Abbey Kikon

Kirinya Jinja SS is having a busy preseason as the club seeks to improve ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Just after they acquired Ahmed Kongola as the new CEO, the club has gone ahead to name Hamza Kalanzi as the club's head coach.

"I am delighted to be joining one of the best football clubs currently in Uganda with good football structures. I can't wait to get started. KJSSFC is a football team with great potential and joining this big club is a dream come true," stated Kalanzi.

The former Lweza coach takes over from Abbey Kikon who has been the interim coach after Alex Isabirye resigned.

Kangola has also expressed his delight at Kalanzi's arrival at the Jinja club.

"Kalanzi is one of the few talented football coaches with vast experience in Ugandan football every team would wish to have as their head coach. We'll give him all the necessary support and backing in execution of his duties at KJSSFC," said Kongola
