The Uganda U19s struck home a much needed 183 run win at the expense of underdogs Botswana on Saturday at the Jaffery Oval.

A good start and as well a psychological boost for the ‘Baby Cricket Cranes'.

Playing on a sunny day, Uganda didn't at any inch struggle to find inspiration as runs from everywhere kept the scoreboard ticking.

Opening pair Zephania Arinaitwe and Ronald Opio had a 70 run partnership with the latter scoring 58 run.

This was just the beginning of what would turn out to be a mammoth total of 330/5.

Eddy Agaba top scored for Uganda scoring 73 while skipper Kenneth Waiswa and Frank Akankwasa struck 63 and 65.

Trevor Bukenya claimed 3 wickets as Botswana were bowled out for a paltry 147 despite a commendable 42 from Brandon Van Zyll who was bowled by Steven Wabwose.
