Yoga is a type of exercise that deals with the spirit and its harmonious relationship with the body and mind.

A Ugandan national Kaushikroy Damani, 66, has developed a mobile app connecting people to sessions of Yoga.

Yoga is a type of exercise that deals with the spirit and its harmonious relationship with the body and mind.

Damani, who is the founder of Kaushikroy Yoga, says the app aims at popularizing Yoga and encouraging people to participate in it for a healthy living.

"Healthy life of citizens improves productivity as a whole. Practicing Yoga is a means of maintaining a healthy society in harmony with nature and fulfil developmental aspirations," he explained.

This was disclosed on Sunday during the launch of the mobile App in Lweza, Kajjansi on Entebbe Road.

The app dubbed as ‘Yoga Miracle' places this gift right into your palms at your finger-tips without moving to special places.

The app can be accessed through an Apple App Store (iOS) and Amazon App Store (Android) to connect.

It provides a platform to share information and insights about peoples' participation in yoga activities on regular basis. It also helps create awareness and encourage a natural scientific healthy living.

The App has seven simple steps covering yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra in a single application.

The App is designed as a constant companion for the beginners as well as the advanced practitioners, including the many Yoga Instructors who have (undergone 200 Hours of  training program/certification and) elevated Yoga to the mass popularity it enjoys today.

"Traditional yet scientific, far beyond (but also including) yoga postures, the simple navigational format and extensive menu includes more than 800 minutes of categorized HD video and over 1000 images, covering the entire spectrum of human life and our existence on this planet," Damani explained.

He further noted that yoga ranges from food to sleep, sex to wealth, compulsions to indulgences, body to mind, emotions to energies, and beyond from a Yogic, Ayurvedic, and Tantric perspective.

"The app starts with the simple basics, to the utmost intricacies, unraveling the intrigue and mysteries of the mind over matter equation; crossing the barriers of our five senses, and their relationship to the Five Universal Elements," he said.
