UCU Lady Canons have made it a habit to prey on every opponent that comes their way in the 2017 National Basketball League.

Their display in the Sunday game was a clear statement that they are not taking anything for granted.

The defending champions whipped the KIU Rangers 57-48 at YMCA to maintain their perfect start in the league.

The Canon Ladies who were led by shooting guard Judith Nansobya and Reachel Muwangunzimade, made a slow start with an 18-12 lead in the first quarter. The duo had 3 and 5 points in the frame respectively.

However, coach Nicholas Natuhereza's side built up steady momentum and by half time, the team was controlling the game with an eight point lead.

With five minutes on the clock, UCU was in demolition mode (51-40), scoring 13 points.

Muwangunzi led her side to a fourth victory with a game high 16 points and four rebounds. Angella Lokwameri, Nansobya and Sarah Ageno added 11,14 and 10 points respectively.
