Bobi Wine nominated for Kyadondo East race

Singer Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine has been nominated for the Kyadondo East by-election.

The singer who was accompanied by his wife Barbra Kyagulanyi, was cleared by the newly appointed Wakiso returning officer Francis Nkurunziza, after submitting the required documentation and paying the sh3m nomination fee.

Bobi Wine expressed interest to contest for the seat in April as an independent candidate.

The seas fell vacant after the Court of Appeal upheld High Court’s decision to nullify the election of FDC's Apollo Kantinti.

NRM's William Sitenda Sebalu was nominated on Tuesday.
