Apedu said holiday makers should stick to their books as they help their parents with domestic chores.

Rev. Julius Apedu the principal of Soroti Vocational Training Institute in Soroti district has warned holiday makers against immoral sexual behaviour.

His warning follows a tendency where students break off for holidays especially those who have been in boarding and begin to have sexual affairs.

Apedu said holiday makers should stick to their books as they help their parents with domestic chores.

"This is the time for holiday makers to help their parents to make money for tuition". Apedu said

He explained that parents as well are supposed to direct the children on what to do other than just watching at them doing activities that do not benefit the family.

Apedu emphasized need for parents to get close to the girl child by ensuring that they are not allowed to visit their aunties as it exposes them to men.

Meanwhile Simon Edoru the vice LC5 chairperson Soroti district said that the parents should use this time to improve their parental roles.

"Most parents give tasks to children and they leave them in trading centers, that's very wrong change"
