Local leaders need to work together with the locals for the good of their communities

The Councillor representing Kamuda Parish in Kalaki Sub County, Kaberamaido district, Pascal Engwau, has faulted LC1 chairpersons for selective distribution of government items.

He said some LC1s have devised a mechanism of distributing inputs brought by government to the same faces, something he says is wrong.

"Everyone is entitled to benefit from any government program irrespective of party colors" Egwau said.

He stressed that the local leaders need to work together with the locals for the good of their communities.

Engwau though said that investigations into the culpable leaders are still underway.

"There will be an appropriate action for leaders who will be found in the act of distributing items to the same people" he added.

Engwau warned that such leaders should be summoned to the sub county to answer why they segregate people when it comes to benefiting from government programs.

Robert Eyou, the LC1 chairperson of Angorok Village, Kamuda Parish in Kalaki Sub County, Kaberamaido district, however dismissed the allegations against LC1 chairpersons.
