UNEB asks ministry for student numbers

UNEB reveal what some private schools do to dodge paying fees.

IN BRIEF

KAMPALA - Uganda National Examinations board has asked the ministry of education and sports to avail the findings from the recently conducted head count in government schools.

The Executive Secretary of the board Dan Odongo says that they have realised that when it comes to registering for  UNEB, many private schools register their students and pupils in government schools so that they can dodge paying the UNEB fees.

Odongo says that they would now want the ministry to avail them with the actual number of pupils and students in government schools so that UNEB can fully plan for them and ensure that students who do not attend these schools are not registered from there and save government some revenue.
