Rushoroza readies for USSSA Ball Games I hosting

The officials recommended the quality of the three all weather Basketball courts whose construction has been completed.

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations (USSSA) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Sports, Science and Technology, have now confirmed that St. Mary's College Rushoroza will host this year's edition of the National Schools Ball Game I due next month.

The confirmation came after USSSA officials led by executive member Hajji Hussein Lwembawo, made a final inspection of the facilities at the Kabale Municipality based institution on Wednesday.

The officials recommended the quality of the three all weather Basketball courts whose construction has been completed.

"Rushoroza is very ready for the hosting because they have worked on all the requirements especially basketball courts. The only remaining facility is the Lawn Tennis court which they have promised to prepare in one week," Said USSSA official Hussein Lwembawo.

Rushoroza headteacher Remegio Byamukama also expressed their readiness for the games that start May 8 to May 15.

"This is a good opportunity for us as Kabale and Rushoroza as a school. We are very ready for the games and we cannot wait for the commencement of the event," Byamukama said. 

The one week event will see school teams from different regions in the country, compete in various sports disciplines
