Man who fled after wife's killing arrested

He was apprehended by Police on Tuesday afternoon

Kole Police is holding a man accused of killing his wife in a house where they were being sheltered in Tekworo (A) village, in Alito Sub County, Kole distrct.

Juma Odage is believed to have murdered his wife only identified as Nancy on Monday and later fled.

According Charles Okeng Olet, who host of the couple said on Monday night he received the couple and their children.

They then introduced themselves as residents of Okwor Parish in Ayer Sub County and Olet later offered them accommodation.

He explained that on Tuesday morning they heard a baby crying from the house where they had been accommodated and on further inspection, they discovered that the mother of the baby had been killed and the husband was missing.

Jimmy Mogi Agaba, the Kole OC CID, confirmed Odage's adding that he was apprehended by Police on Tuesday afternoon hiding at the home of Sam Ebong near Apye-anyoni trading centre, Aboke Sub County in Kole District.

Agaba said they are also holding one Jasper Odong, a resident of Atan village in the same sub county for allegedly strangling his wife Harriet Apio who is now admitted at a health facility.
