Kadaga mourns Kaweesi

The Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda Rebecca Kadaga has sent heartfelt condolence message to the family of the murdered Uganda Police forces spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi.

Kaweesi was murdered alongside his body guards and driver at about 100 metres away from his residence in Kulambiro, Kampala suburb.

Kadaga said Kaweesi's imposing height; personality and stature have been familiar and comforting presence in the Uganda Police forces.

"He has been my friend as he was to so many, we shall miss him," reads part of the letter shared on Parliament's tweeter handle.

Kadaga said Kaweesi's murder follows the deaths of several other Ugandans in the same brutal and tragic way.

"Please my sincere condolences. I pray that God will give you the courage to bear the loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace," the letter concludes.​
