Prisoners ask for fairness in administration of justice

“It (plea bargain) should be based on first come first serve practice but not who is rich who is poor. My Lord, your visit here is very inspiring, plea bargaining has helped with many cases,” one of the inmates’ representatives said.

Inmates at Upper Luzira Prison have asked the judiciary for fairness in the plea bargain process.

"It (plea bargain) should be based on first come first serve practice but not who is rich who is poor. My Lord, your visit here is very inspiring, plea bargaining has helped with many cases," one of the inmates' representatives said.

The prisoners made the remarks on Monday during the Principal Judge Justice Yorakamu Bamwine's visit.
