Mukono DPC arrested for 'shooting civilian'

MUKONO - Police is holding one of its own officers Boniface Kinyera for allegedly shooting and injuring a civilian.
 
Kinyera, the Mukono DPC, is thought to have shot the civilian along Mukono-Kayunga road whom he suspected to be car robber.

The regional police commander for Kampala Metropolitan East Patrick Alinyo said investigations are under way to press appropriate charges against the officer.
 
He said  James Habert Wanga, the former officer in charge of Mukono Police Station, is now the acting DPC.
