For the year he worked, he saved shs 3 million and by the time his idea of starting a business ripened, he knew he would use his saving to start a new life.

He decided to open up an internet café and add on other things depending on what customers' demands would be.

I sat down and drew a budget of the things I needed and I realized that I needed more than 3 million to start up, "he says.

He notes that he went ahead and borrowed more 3 million and this helped him start up without straining a lot.

His rent was sh 2500000 and the land lord wanted rent for six months. He also had to spend about shs 3million to acquire machinery (computers) to start up his café.

No matter how little his capital was, he started with four computers, added on movies of all kinds and with time he kept on adding machinery.

Today he runs with café without any difficulties. He juggles it with selling movies and also doing photography.

Achievements.

Kasada charges sh 1000 per hour and since his customers increase every day, he manages to earn sh 150000 a day which to him is better than those who work for salary.

For the movies, he hires them at sh 1000 a day and those who want to buy, he sells them at sh 2000-4000. He also teaches computer skills.

He says the movies that sell most are animated cartoon movies which parents buy to occupy their children .

"When I balance my books, in a day the café, movies, stationary and photograph, earn me shs 150000,"he says.

This has helped him cater for his sister's tuition at Kyambogo University without much struggle.

He also pays his rent in time and he never regrets quitting his job to start up his own business.

Challenges

He notes that their days when clients are scarce. This affects his earning but still he never loses hope because he knows their good days and bad days.

He notes that their at times when his network server disturbs and clients tend to run away to other cafes in seeta but by the grace of God they return when network is stable.

He says capital was a challenge in the beginning because he wanted to grow very fast but the capital was not there to enable him do things the way he wanted.
