Mutebi optimistic ahead of pivotal week for KCCA FC

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi believes his side has to stay on a winning note if they are to have a chance of defending their league title and also perform well in the CAF Champions League.

The Lugogo side who top the league with 32 points host BUL FC today in the second round of the league and Mutebi feels they have the potential to play well.

"We are the current league leaders and we know there is pressure on us but we need to keep winning our games to maintain the grip at the top" stated Mutebi.

"We have had enough time to iron out the weaknesses we had in the first round and I believe the players are in the perfect mood to play" he added.

KCCA will also use today's league game as build-up ahead of their CAF Champions League tie against Angola's Club Primeiro De Agosto on Friday at Lugogo.
