Mike Sserumaga (pictured in action) has returned to his home club Vipers SC, promising to deliver his best at the Kitende-based outfit.

Calling his move a “totally new challenge”, Sserumaga returns on a two-year contract from SC Villa where his contract had expired late December last year.

He was at Vipers in the 2011/12 season before joining SC Victoria University (SCVU) and then Lweza FC.

"Despite being a prodigal son at Vipers, it’s a totally new challenge and I vow to give it my best to reciprocate the club's faith in me,” said the 27-year-old playmaker.

Vipers are bound to profit from his vast experience on the international scene as they prepare for the CAF Confederations Cup due next month.

Club caretaker Richard Wasswa expressed his belief in Sserumaga.

“I know at SC Villa he was not doing as well as he did in the past but his talent is not disputable and he wants to impress at Vipers.”

Meanwhile, former Kira Young and The Saints player Marlon Tangawuzi has joined Kenyan giants Tusker FC on a two-year deal.

The versatile player, who can play both midfield and defense, joined new Tusker coach George Best Nsimbe.

The Kenyan-born spent most his career in Uganda, featuring for a number top sides in the local league including Kira Young, SCVU and The Saints.

The youthful player hopes to play for national side Harambee Stars one day, especially having previously featured on Kenya’s u-20 side.

At Tusker, he finds a number of Ugandan players including Martin Kiiza and Hashim Sempala.
