The final of this year's Uganda Cup will be hosted by the West Nile region in Arua.

FUFA Competitions Director Ali Mwebe will supervise the Uganda Cup round of 64 draws that will be conducted Wednesday at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.

The Uganda Cup is the second biggest local football event played by any interested team in the country but on a knock-out basis.

All the 16 clubs in the Azam Uganda Premier League and the 23 FUFA Big League teams are part of this round of 64.

The others are the successful regional clubs from all the eight FUFA regions (Kampala, Kitara, Eastern, Northern, West Nile, North East, Western and Buganda).

The final of this year's Uganda Cup will be hosted by the West Nile region in Arua.

The 11th FUFA Executive Committee held last year approved Arua as the hosts of the final which is slated for the weekend of June 2-4 2017 at the home of Onduparaka FC, the Green Light Stadium.

Winners of the Uganda Cup represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup. Vipers SC are the Cup holders having defeated Onduparaka 3-1 in final last season in June.
