The three day camp attracted budding players between the ages of 4-16 years

There is a lot of untapped talent in the land, the Youth Basketball Camp that ended Saturday at the Kampala Parents School revealed.

The three day camp attracted budding players between the ages of 4-16 years as they were taken through the ABCs of the game.

Organized by the Blick Foundation, the kids, both Girls and Boys were also given theories on how the game is played, warm ups, as lots of talent was discovered. Jordan Rukundo was among the stand out players winning MVP.  

"The participants have really shown potential and am convinced the future of Basketball in the country is very bright. These kids are really promising," said Norman Blick, founder of the Foundation. Dr Maggie Kigozi was among the fans who attended event.

Blick who has for long been the face of Ugandan Basketball, is on a long term mission of drastically changing and developing the game from the grassroots.

"I feel there is a lot I have to offer back to the game. I have received a good atmosphere since I started out in 1990s and it's time I gave back, "he added.

The Blick Foundation is an institution built to shape the youth through basketball.

Blick has won a number of championships including D-Mark Power, Warriors, Nkumba Marines, and Sky Jammers.
